Charming stay with welcoming staff!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The breakfast spread was delightful, especially the perfectly baked croissants. The staff truly made it special, always attentive and friendly. Remember to plan parking if arriving by car, as it can get tricky during market hours!

The room was spacious and spotless, with a lovely bathroom.

The toaster needed constant attention as it was liable to burn the toast.

this place is really great. the staff were super welcoming and helped us get a taxi. the room was spacious and the bed was massive and sooo comfy! breakfast was delish, loved the eggs benedict and everything was freshly cooked. really recommend this hotel for sure if ur in richmond.

During my stay, I appreciated the comfortable room and the friendly service from the staff, making me feel right at home in such a charming place. also, being just a few steps from the beautiful Friary Tower and Gardens added so much joy to my morning walks.

we had an upgrade to the 'liszt room' which was huge n fun, with loads of space n a secret passage to the bathroom. breakfasts were realy good n the staff were super nice n helpful. richmond is a beautiful town too, lots to explore.

the parking was kinda confusing, cause of some signs we didn't see n ended up with fines. also, hard to move the curtains to see the tv properly.

We had a fantastic time staying here with friends! The location was perfect for exploring the nearby attractions, we visited some lovely cafes and the beautiful market square. The breakfast was great and the staff were super accommodating, ensuring everyone was happy. The rooms were clean and comfortable, which added to our overall experience!

One significant inconvenience was the absence of a lift, which made accessing the upper floors a bit of a chore, especially for those with mobility challenges. there were issues with the evening menu. my pasta dish didn’t match the description and included missing ingredients, which could have been better communicated. Lastly, the ample street noise from the market square could be bothersome, particularly for light sleepers.

The experience took a hit due to the room's poor sound insulation. event noise seemed to linger on until early morning. the rooms can get uncomfortably warm, especially on upper floors with minimal window opening options. A missing air conditioning system left the small fan struggling to cope. Navigating the private car park can be frustrating, with awkward sensor placements and a code needed to exit that isn’t clearly communicated. These quirks cumulatively dampened the overall comfort during the stay.
